Life OS

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 28, 2026

The short version

Life OS helps your family organise its week. It is a tool, not an advisor: it does not give financial, medical or legal advice, and it can be wrong. Your data is yours. Do not use it to do anything illegal, and do not rely on it for anything where a mistake would be dangerous.

Agreement

These terms are between Caldwell Group (“we”) and the person who creates a household (“you”). By creating a household or using Life OS you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Who may use it

  • You must be 18 or older to create a household and accept these terms.
  • Access is by invitation. An invite code may be revoked or expire.
  • You may create logins for members of your household, including children. If you create a login for a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and you consent, on their behalf, to the collection described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for what everyone in your household does with the account.

Your data is yours

You keep all rights to the content your household puts into Life OS. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you: to store it, display it back to your household, process it to generate briefs and answers, and transmit it to the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy. That licence ends when you delete the content or the household.

Connected accounts

When you connect Google, Plaid, a wearable, a grocery account or Home Assistant, you authorise us to access that service on your behalf for the purposes described at the time of connection. Those services have their own terms, and their availability is not something we control. We may lose access if a provider changes their rules, revokes an integration, or you change your password there. You can disconnect any of them at any time.

What Life OS is not

  • Not financial advice. Balances, budgets and spending figures are read from your bank through Plaid and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on them for a financial decision without checking your bank.
  • Not medical advice. Sleep, recovery and workout figures come from consumer devices. Life OS is not a medical device, does not diagnose anything, and must not be used to make a health decision.
  • Not a safety system. Reminders, notifications and home controls can fail — a phone can be offline, a job can not run, an integration can break. Never rely on Life OS for anything where a missed or wrong notification would be dangerous, including medication, medical appointments, child supervision, security or emergencies.
  • Not always right. The assistant generates text and can be mistaken or make things up. Check anything that matters.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service unlawfully, or to store information you have no right to hold.
  • Connect an account you are not authorised to connect.
  • Attempt to access another household's data, or probe, scan or disrupt the service.
  • Resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Use automated means to extract data beyond your own household's.

The assistant has usage limits per household so one account cannot consume the service's capacity. We may adjust those limits.

Availability and changes

Life OS is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.

Ending it

You may stop at any time by deleting your household, which deletes its data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if an invite is revoked, or if we are required to. We will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Life OS is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or a decision you made relying on information shown in the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts located there will have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and for a material change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Life OS after that means you accept the change.
